White Christmas in Colorado! And other happenings… January 1, 2007
Posted by Peter in : A Day in the Life , trackbackIt’s been a while since we’ve posted anything. There are two reasons: we’ve been busy, and we’ve been lazy!

A lot has happened since the last post. For one thing, we spent Thanksgiving in Las Vegas! I had a customer there that needed services the week after Thanksgiving, so we decided to tag along and go for the weekend. Luckily we were able to meet up with friends and family, including Jay and his family, Kristi, Cathy, and Terri! Thanksgiving dinner was at Sam Woo with Jay, his family, and a couple of bottles of wine… We also celebrated Cathy’s birthday at Tao, a trendy Asian restaurant at the Venetian. We stayed at the Golden Nugget (thinking that our friends and family usually like to hang out in downtown). Oh, and get this… we got a Nissan 350Z as our rental car, so we were able to ride in style! It was a free upgrade…
Jody decided to catch a ride to LA with Kristi to visit friends and family there while I toiled away at work waiting for her return. I’ve gotta say… one and a half weeks in Vegas is a week too long, but luckily there is a great sushi place called Sushi Mon about 15 minutes away from downtown. I must have eaten there about 6 or 7 times this trip! It’s all-you-can-eat sushi that’s made to order, and the value can’t be beat! Of course, Cathy had to have some, so she drove back with Jody to partake in the sushi fest.

Of note is the blizzard of ‘06. You’ve probably heard about it on the news. Jody and I are doing fine. As long as you’re not on a long distance drive between towns, you’re pretty safe. It’s actually pretty fun with the weather outside being frightful, as long as the fire inside is delightful. My mom and sis came to visit us for Christmas this year and luckily they were able to see a white Christmas. From what we hear, the snow is usually pretty mild and disappears in a day or two. Colorado hasn’t seen snow like this in over 20 years!
Anyway, I’ve also uploaded a TON of pictures in the picture gallery, so stop on by and take a look! The pictures do a better job of showing what we’ve been up to.
I hope you’re all doing well and have a grea new year!
